Dr. Gregory Parkhurst is a board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist in San Antonio, Texas, internationally recognized as an expert in Modern LASIK and Advanced Vision Correction Surgery. He has been named one of the “Top 40 Under 40” Most Influential Ophthalmologists in the world by The Ophthalmologist.
Dr. Parkhurst served as President of the Refractive Surgery Alliance, leading an international society of more than 300 of the world’s leading vision correction surgeons. He teaches at the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry and has been named a San Antonio “Top Doctor” by S.A. Magazine.
His work has been published in Ophthalmology, Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Journal of Refractive Surgery, and other peer-reviewed journals. He has served as Principal Investigator for multiple FDA clinical trials.

Education

Dr. Parkhurst graduated with honors from Hillsdale College before completing medical school at Northwestern University. He was appointed Chief Resident in eye surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, followed by a fellowship at the University of Texas and Slade & Baker Vision Center in Houston, subspecializing in corneal and refractive eye surgery.
